Albright Ideas®, Inc., an Eagan-based information systems staffing, application design, and development company, has received a continuation of the ongoing contract with Andersen Corporation. They have been selected to provide software upgrades to the Andersen quoting tool, iQ, for the 14.0 software release. Albright Ideas has participated in the last 8 major releases of this software and the associated mid-release upgrades since 2008. The software is built on Edgenet, Inc. visual selling platform, M2O. In addition Albright Ideas has been selected to work on an Enterprise Product Management Information system and support the daily activities for the Andersen Access product and BAAN ERP systems. We have added staff and services to the Andersen Master Services agreement and continue to provide excellent support to internal staff.

Andersen Corporation has used Albright Ideas skill sets to aid in the training of in-house personnel, updates to existing legacy system in the Business Information Server portion of their business, and updates to new and existing catalog features.

Edgenet catalog software tool, M2O allows a rapid development of an electronic consumer catalog allowing user quoting and visual selling. Andersen Corporation is a manufacturer of high-quality Windows and Doors to the North American marketplace.

Albright Ideas®, Inc participated for the 10th year in the Minnesota Chapter of the ALS Associations’ Walk to D’feet ALS held September 26, 2009.  In sponsoring the Beverly Walkabillies, Albright Ideas helped raise over $2600 for the 2009 walk.  In total, the 26 member AI-sponsored team was directly responsible for raising over $50,000 during the last 10 years of participation!  Working with this group since the inception of the Minneapolis walk, AI is proud to provide fun and friendship to all the participants.

The Minneapolis walk generates over $200K in pledges from year to year, and continually grows, spreading awareness and generating funds for research, local support of programs, equipment purchases for those in need of specialized equipment, and support for families going through various stages of the disease.

Albright Ideas®, Inc., an Eagan-based information systems staffing, application design, and development company, participated in the Minnesota Chapter of the ALS Association's Walk to D'feet ALS held Sept 29, 2007 around Lake Harriet in Minneapolis. The walk team raised over $3400 to fight this as yet unconquered degenerative nerve disease. Overall the walk raised more than $300,000 for the Chapter's Equipment Loan progam, ALS research, and associated programs.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as "Lou Gehrig's disease," is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. The progressive nerve degeneration for ALS paitents eventually leads to their death. With voluntary muscle action progressively affected, patients in the later stages of the disease can become totally paralyzed. Diagnosis to death frequently lasts less than 5 years though in rare cases, patients have been known to live much longer.

Albright Ideas® has struck a deal with one of its partners to provide offshore India-based programming services. In addition to Albright Ideas low overhead, the partnership will allow AI to market a full solution with additional cost savings to the client.

"The new arrangement will allow AI to provide cheaper application development costs for all our clients. It will provide better ROI and quicker time-to-market by allowing more resources to be placed against an application or support project for the same overall cost," said Gerry Albright, AI Vice President. "The partner currently provides a premier full range of transportation logistics solutions for the airline and ground transportation industry. They have the skill sets and personnel to complete a full range of services we couldn't offer before."

With the this addition, AI now offers solutions from web based to high-volume transaction completion. Skill sets include web based solutions including server and client to mainframe legacy systems such as Unisys and IBM database solutions.

Albright Ideas® announces the cross-marketing and cooperation of technology rentals with Total Technology Rental of Minneapolis. "This partnership will allow us to have a one-stop-shopping capability for our clients," said Teri Albright, President. "Not only can we provide the applications for the clients, but we can now provide the hardware to run the applications." Effective immediately, the partnership allows the capability for clients to quickly implement a solution until they determine the best permanent network or platform at lower overall cost.

Connelly Industrial Electronics has again chosen Albright Ideas to develop and implement a reporting solution for their real-time hydroelectric dam monitoring system. The system provides remote daily, monthly, and annual reporting for electric generation stations.

Albright Ideas Vice-President, Gerry Albright, is running for Dakota Electric Association Board of Directors in District 3.  The election starts March 15th and runs through the annual meeting April 19, 2001.  Dakota Electric Association Cooperative customers will have the opportunity to vote based on a mail ballot beginning around March 15th.  Dakota Electric is an electric utility distributing electrical power to approximately 78,000 customers in Southern Minnesota. Albright Ideas, Inc. has received a contract from Northwest Airlines for creation of a MAPPER® to Sybase® interface for cargo air waybills. Northwest Airlines is a passenger and cargo carrier based in Eagan, MN with worldwide operations. The interface will provide Northwest increased capacity and throughput of invoiced air waybills while at the same time reducing operational costs.
